Looking to fulfill an internship requirement for your college degree? You’re in luck! Camp is a great place to complete an internship and get real world experience. We’re happy to support you in any internship projects or needs to ensure they’re met during your summer at Avid.
All internships are paid positions and internships at all of our Overnight Camps, and our Day Camps located in Bellevue and Menlo Park offer housing!
Compatible Degrees:
Counseling, Education (K-12), Dance/Fine Arts, Outdoor Leadership, Business, Environmental Education, Parks and Recreation, Sociology, Psychology, Special Education, Marketing, Sports Management, Social Work, Videography/Photography, and more!
Meeting the Requirements:
On average our season runs from the end of May to mid August. So we are able to offer roughly 380-400 hours for Day Camp Staff & more for Overnight Camp, however hours are position dependent.

You will work directly with a member of Camp Leadership to support you throughout your internship during the summer. They will do check-ins, provide feedback, and support you with resources and opportunities to successfully complete your internship. You can dream big and work with the Camp Leadership team to make sure your ideas fit into the Avid mission to fulfill your unique internship requirements.
We’ve had staff dream up new programs, implement new camp activities, lead all of camp through an epic all camp game, create opportunities for connection and community, lead staff in professional development initiatives, empower kids to be stewards of the environment, all to meet the requirements of their internship.
