Day Camps - Basic First Aid & CPR (in person courses only)

Overnight Camp Blue Sky - Basic First Aid & CPR (in person courses only)

Overnight Camp Windy Peak - WFA or WFR for some positions (in person / hybrid courses only)

Expeditions - WFA or WFR (in person / hybrid courses only)

Other required certifications - Due to compliance standards, all staff should take the following courses: Standard Precautions, Mandatory Reporter and Leave no Trace.

They are all free and there will be a link available in your WorkBright account to access them. Make sure to submit the certifications before training/camp starts!

Does Avid4 pay for required certifications?

• Staff who work for our Windy Peak Overnight Camp have the option to attend our Avid Sponsored Wilderness First Aid Certification course before regular staff training starts! The certification is through the American Red Cross and requires a CPR certification before WFA training begins!
• We do not provide upfront payment for certifications, but provide a robust end-of-season certification bonus plan for staff with advanced certifications! Check out our Compensations Page for full details

California- First Aid and CPR Courses

• Click on this Red Cross site to access classes specific to San Francisco. You can also choose a location closer to you by selecting your desired city on the left hand side. Please DO NOT select the “online only” class as we cannot accept the certification.
• The AHA ****provides classes on CPR and AED. Choose the Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED course to complete your required certification.
• Ouch! Is an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid provider.
• Ready SF is an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid provider.
